Sushi Wallet

The new Twist Collective is up...

This is not new news as this issue came out on Thursday, but I had to mention it here so I could gush about this pattern:

Sylvi

Love it. Must have it. No time to knit it. What to do??

SKP Sock 5 underway...

The pattern was released Nov 1 and I have started. It is a pretty lace and cable pattern and knitting up quickly, but I haven't had much time to work on them. Here is the yarn I am using:

And here's what I have so far:

Hopefully over the weekend I will have these both finished through the heel and gusset. I also need to finish a scarf this weekend for a swap. Can't show you pictures of that until it reaches its destination!

New goodies at BuzzandFuzz.com

We have some fun new things in the studio which I will share with you over the next few days.

I'll start with the beaded stitch markers. I am VERY fussy about my stitch markers. I love all of the new fancy stitch markers out there, but it really drives me crazy when wire ends or jumprings get caught in my knitting. So I have been making my own and "test knitting" them. I am really happy with the results:

I am making these with beads, soldered brass rings and waxed linen. They come in 2 sizes: small (for needle size US3/3.25mm and under) and large (for needle size US10.5/6.5mm and under). Each set has 5 markers (4 matching and 1 coordinated). Here are some close-ups:

Alligator Scarf

So here is another project I am working on:

This is a kit from Morehouse Farm, knit with their Morehouse Merino yarn. Right now it is my "carry-in-the-car" project because it is an easy knit. Hopefully it will be done before the snow flies (which they say will likely be next week)!

Zum Lederhos'ns

I am lucky enough to help test knit another beautiful sock by Yarnissima (see my "Firestarters" and "Zum Dirndls"). No, I have not finished my Zum Dirndls yet, but I will...

Her latest pattern is Zum Lederhos'n. The pattern is being written for men, but I am making the smallest size for me! I am knitting these with Fleece Artist Merino 2/6 in "Ruby". And here's what I have so far:

A toe up pattern with lots of twisted stitches and cables. There are initials worked into the gusset which you should be able to see on my sock soon. Another unique pattern!
Wow, I have been quiet lately! That means I have lots to share. I'll start with these cuties:

These were a very quick knit using scrap yarn. They are heading off to the UK to help raise money for a charity that gives support to caregivers of people with Alzheimers. I am sure I will be making more of these little guys to give as gifts this year, but first I need to drink some more wine...

And here is the link to the pattern so you can make some too!
