Natural Dye Studio yarns

I have been so busy knitting I haven't shared pictures of the shop's newest yarn shipment:
Angel Sock yarn

Angel 2ply Lace yarn

I am so excited about this yarn and company.   I was first introduced to the Natural Dye Studio yarns when I knit my "Saviano" socks:

Natural Dye Studio is located in the UK, so their lovely plant-dyed yarns are hard to come by here in the USA.  So I am very happy to now be carrying Angel Sock and Angel 2ply Lace.  This yarn is so soft and the colors are incredible.  I can't wait to knit lace with the Angel Lace.

Christmas Stocking Kits

I am really excited about this.  BuzzandFuzz is now carrying the full line of Judy's Colors Christmas Stocking Kits!  With over 30 designs and 80 possible colorways, there really are too many to choose from.  Here's a sampling:

Click here to view the complete line.  The stockings are knit with DK yarn at 6sts/inch, so I am hoping they knit up relatively quickly.  I plan to make 3 stockings this year (for each of my kiddies) and then a couple more next year for me and my DH.  My kick of day will be October 1.  If you would like to join me, all stocking kits will be $10 of now through Sept 30, 2010 using this code in your shopping cart:  STOCKING.  I can't wait to get started!

New yarn shipment!

Casbah sock yarn from Hand Maiden: 80% Merino wool, superwash, 10% Cashmere,10% nylon. I can't wait to make some socks with this, but I am also really excited for my summer shawl project with this:

Sea Silk from Hand Maiden: 70% Silk, 30% Seacell®. Haven't planned my project yet because I have too many WIPs going right now, but I am inspired to finish some projects so I can get knitting with these yarn!

New yarn!!!

I am so excited about this. I am happy to announce that we have partnered with a great new company: Australian Organic Wool! We now have all colors in stock in 2 weights: DK/8 ply and Worsted/10 ply. I LOVE this yarn. It is a super soft merino spun with a slightly increased twist to reduce pilling. And it's organic: the sheep are raised organically, the wool is washed using a biodegradable detergent, the wool is spun in a mill specifically certified to handle organic fibers, and lastly, they use metal-free dyes in fabulous colors. Take a look...

I have been searching for a line of solid color wool and I really couldn't be happier. I have been playing with this yarn for a while now and I can't tell you how soft it is. You can easily wear this wool against your skin. I made a pair of fingerless mitts with this yarn last month and have been really impressed on how this yarn handles. It is easy to knit with, has great stitch definition, and really has very little pilling. CLICK HERE for all of the yarn details.

I am in heaven!

More new goodies

We got some new knitting kits in from Pick Up Sticks. I can't wait to test knit these! Each kit is available in 2 different colorways. Click here for more details.
