Mystery Stole 4--Serendipity Stole

I realized yesterday that I talked about completing MS4 when I had never even talked about the fact that I am doing MS4! I briefly mentioned attempting to resist the temptation at one point, but we know I am weak. So I started MS4, designed by Georgina Bow, last month.

Here is my yarn and my beads. The color is named "Sea Mist"

I love the beads! I just finished clue 2 and I am working both halves at the same time. I know I am a bit behind (4 clues have been released), but I plan on getting caught up over the next week. The last clue will be released on October 10 and I have an event I would like to wear this to on October 13 (probably not possible, but I'm going to try!). Here is a picture of what I have knit so far, but I took the picture at night and you can't see the beads. You really can see them in natural light (but if I were to start over, I would use different beads with a little more contrast):

Hanami Update

Here's my progress so far. I LOVE this pattern and can't wait to get back to knitting it. I think I will be able to get back to it sometime next week, that is, if I resist the temptation to begin Mystery Stole 4.

I know I really do not have the time for MS4, but I am weak...I love knitting lace, especially with beads. I have been talking myself in and out of knitting MS4 for the past week. I have not bought the yarn or beads. The first clue is released tomorrow on Sept 5. Help me.

Ooooooo, October

Where is this year going?? Here's this month's knitting projects:

1. Finish MS4

2. Start, finish, and mail HSS4 socks

3. Make Felted Bowl as housewarming gift for a friend

4. Start scarf, hat and mittens for Carter's birthday in November

and if I had endless knitting time I would add:

5. Mystic Light KAL: remember this UFO? I need to finish this for a Christmas project

6. Finish Lady of the Lake Cardigan: I finally found this (it was lost in a box after moving). I would love to wear it this winter...

7. Faroe Vine Cardigan: this would be another wonderful, warm sweater that would be nice to wear this winter...

I could go on, but the list is just too long!

Summer knitting

I have been doing some knitting lately. Not nearly as much as I would like, but hopefully things will quiet down soon and I can settle into my summer knitting routine. During the kids' summer break, I focus on lace. I usually have a quiet 1-2 hours every morning before things get crazy around the house and it is a great time to sit and work on lace. This summer I hope to :

1. Finish my Hanami (60% complete):

2. Finish Serendipity Stole (MS4): long way to go on this one, only 15% one...

3. Finish Girasole (25%) complete:

That's a lot of lace. And I am not sure if there will be a Mystery Stole 5, but of course I will want to work on that as well. I will be REALLY happy if I can finish these 3 projects--wish me luck and speedy needles!

Stitching in September

So much to do and so little time!!

I have my knitting time used up clear into December. There is NO room for more projects and yet...

Here's what September looks like:
1. SKP sock 4
2. Monthly Adventure's (Ravelry) stash-buster project: we will be given 1 small project a week through September, with the intention of busting some stash and knitting some quick and early holiday gifts.
2. Keep working on Hanami
3. Write pattern for Hogwart's sock swap 4 (HSS4)
4. Resist temptation to start MS4, and finish/work on one of my 3 WIP cardigans I have going.

I need to clone myself.
